Tozzetti (biscuits) with hazelnuts

Tozzetti (biscuits) with hazelnuts– shelled hazelnuts: 400 gr.
– flour 00: 400 gr.
– white sugar or brown sugar: 400 gr.
– eggs : 4

 

Mix with a whisk the eggs and sugar, and afterwards add slowly the flour. Combine the hazelnuts making dough mix well.
Divide the mixture into two little loaves, giving it an elongated shape similar to a nougat and place them in a square baking pan.
Cook at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
Cool the cakes and cut the two loaves into many small slices of about 1 cm.
Lay the slices on same baking tray and bake for 5 minutes to toast them.
Serve with white wine sparkling or with VinSanto.
